Types of Chapter Membership
Chapter membership is open to all interested individuals and organizations who live, work for an organization located within the UAE, or have primary residence in the UAE.
Individual Chapter Member
Definition: an unaffiliated individual who subscribes to the purposes of the chapter and pays the required dues. These memberships are non-transferrable to other members.
Individual chapter members receive all information related to the chapter activities and receive invitations to meetings. Attendance at meetings is highly encouraged but not required. You can also benefit from the individual membership in the following ways:

Organizational Chapter Member
Definition: a member representing an organization or a primary division of an organization that subscribes to the purposes of the chapter and pays the required dues. Each organizational chapter member shall designate one representative to officially exercise the rights and privileges of membership. The organization may transfer membership within the organization at the discretion of the organization and must communicate any transfer to the Membership Secretary and ASTM International headquarters.

Technical Committee Chapter Member
A technical committee chapter member shall be a member of an ASTM International technical committee and have the same rights and privileges as an individual or organizational chapter member. Technical committee chapter members participate with both an ASTM technical committee and the chapter provided the applicable fees are paid.
These members will receive all information related to the chapter activities and receive invitations to all meetings. They can also participate in the development of high quality, market relevant standards that advance technology and innovation. These members are required to vote on the electronic ballots (circulations of the standards proposals to be reviewed by members) and can devote as much time as they wish to the standards development process. Attendance at meetings is highly encouraged, however it is not required. You can also benefit in the following ways:

Student Chapter Member
An individual enrolled in a college or university in the UAE who applies at no cost via the ASTM International website.
