ASTM/AWS Standards and Codes Related to Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement

The American Welding Society (AWS) and the ASTM International UAE Chapter have teamed up with key experts from industry to present technical information about standards and codes for steel bars for concrete reinforcement and welding of reinforcing steel in most concrete applications in this free webinar.

The following ASTM standards will be discussed with a specific focus on chemical composition, strength, elongation, and bending requirements as they relate to welding.

• ASTM A615/A615M-20 Standard Specification for Deformed and Plain Carbon-Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement

• ASTM A184/A184M-19 Standard Specification for Welded Deformed Steel Bar Mats for Concrete Reinforcement

An AWS member will provide an overview of the AWS D1.4 Structural Welding Code-reinforcing steel and discuss the AWS requirements for welding reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete applications.
